Missions and Social Services We Support

MISSIONS   We define missions as ministry to the unreached parts of the world, those areas never yet ever touched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our church has accepted the challenge of moving to "tithing the 10/40 window" by 2011. This will be our second year in the procedure. For 2008, we have budgeted 4% of our budget to missions ($3,778) in the 10/40 window part of the world. India is in the heart of that section of the world with more unreached people groups than any other country.

Aravali Tribal Mission is a church planting mission to the Biehl people in the mountains of Rajasthan. They have responded to the story of Jesus in amazing ways. The Lord is bringing forth a mighty harvest among them.

Hope Home is a home for children from destitute situations, located in South India. Some of our people have actually visited the home. Presently they have 122 boys and girls from the lowest of backgrounds. We are praying that God will use their time at that home to build a fire in their young hearts for their own people and for the world.

SOCIAL SERVICE IN CHRIST'S NAME       We want to see our own local community transformed by the love of God through compassion works among those in need.

With a budget of $ 4,722, we are helping those in urgent need in our community and surrounding villages.

Several of our people work directly with Love In the Name of Christ, located in Zion, but serving all of Lake County.

We also support and assist the Tri-County Pregnancy Center, located in Grayslake. This agency supports young women in healthy pre-natal care and in early care of the baby. It is committed to valuing the life of the unborn.

Frontline is a ministry to the Round Lake area youth involved with gangs, alcohol, and drugs. Ricky Bueno is its founder. We are proud to offer support to such an incredible work.

Hispanic/American Community Partners is a new organization seeking to help the Hispanic population of the area in learning English, in obtaining health services, and in parenting troubled teens. We have helped in its founding and are excited to see the Lord use the labors of generous peoople for the good of those struggling.
